EN 10357 Stainless Pipe Clamps — Process Tube Supports

Clamps engineered for EN 10357 / DIN 11852 process tubing — exact OD match, no shimming.

EN 10357 (welded austenitic stainless steel tubes for the food and chemical industry) defines exact ODs at 21.3, 33.7, 48.3, 60.3, 76.1 mm — and every NIBRO clamp is machined to that exact OD with sub-millimetre tolerance.

Section 01

What EN 10357 covers

EN 10357 (formerly DIN 11850 Series 2) specifies welded stainless steel tubes used in food, dairy and chemical process plants. Outer diameter, wall thickness and surface finish are tightly controlled — a clamp that grips loosely on EN 10357 tube is gripping the wrong spec.

NIBRO clamp bore diameters match the EN 10357 OD table to within 0.3 mm at the standard size points (DN 10 – DN 200).

Section 02

Why generic 'metric' clamps fail on EN 10357

• Commodity metric clamps are sized to ISO 4200 pipe, which has different ODs (e.g. 60.3 vs 63.5 mm at DN 50 nominal).

• A 3 mm bore mismatch loads the bolt, not the clamping face — pipe slips under thermal cycling.

• Hygienic compliance fails because the gap traps cleaning fluid and biofilm.

NIBRO EN 10357 range

• Body: AISI 316L (V4A) — pickled & passivated to ASTM A380.

• Bolt kit: A4-70 with DIN 985 self-locking nuts.

• Liner options: FDA white EPDM 70 Shore A · VMQ silicone · PTFE for chemical service.

• Certification: EN 10204 3.1 per batch on request.

• Sizes: DN 10 (17.2 mm) → DN 200 (219.1 mm).

FAQ

Frequently asked

EN 10357 superseded DIN 11852 in 2014 — the OD/wall table is identical. Drawings citing either standard use the same physical tube.
